SINGAPORE – Singapore Airlines is the best airline of 2019, according to the top 10 for 2019 by Airlineratings.com. Air New Zealand and Qantas follow respectively as second and third.
After Air New Zealand won the contest five years in a row, Singapore airlines was chosen this year as world’s best airline. Airlineratings.com: “Singapore Airlines has been chosen because of innovation, new product and world-renowned inflight service.”
Singapore Airlines already made the news this year by opening the world’s longest non-stop scheduled flight between Singapore and New York – Newark. That flight is operated by the new Airbus A350-900ULR in a business and premium seating configuration.
Singapore Airlines is also known for it’s fleet renewal strategy. Their average fleet age is 6.9 years, making it one of the youngest in the world. Next to that they also have the newest aircraft, such as the Boeing 787-10 on order to replace older aircraft, resulting in one of the most fuel efficient fleets.
